Workshops - "Demand-Led Rostering" for Fire & Rescue ServicesWednesday 18 July 2007, Manchester United FC, Old Trafford, Manchester, UK
The WorkPlace Systems Demand-Led Rostering approach saves Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service more than £2.9 million per annum on their labour budget and improved their service and confidence levels.
Due to the success of our first workshop earlier this year, we would like to invite you to a repeat event which will demonstrate the principles and value of Demand-Led Rostering. Specifically, how it can operate within the constraints of your Integrated Risk Management Plan taking into account establishment levels, ridership confidence levels, absence and training allowance, whilst still retaining the 2-2-4 roster pattern.
WorkPlace Systems has already identified up to a 17% labour saving using the 5-Watch methodology in Fire Services which can be translated into efficiency improvements. We are currently working with: Bedfordshire & Luton F&RS, Cambridgeshire F&RS, Cleveland FB, Derbyshire F&RS, Greater Manchester F&RS, Lincolnshire F&RS, London F&EPA, Mid & West Wales F&RS, North Wales F&RS, South Yorkshire F&RS, Strathclyde F&R, West Midlands FS, West Sussex F&RS and Wiltshire F&RS.
The workshop will be an interactive session led by Barry Sandles, Senior Consultant from WorkPlace Systems, who will explain why this approach works and the process involved from feasibility study through to design and implementation of Demand-Led Rosters. In addition Rhys Griffiths, Area Commander Service Delivery and Keith Garnett, Project lead on HR at Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service will present the real experiences and benefits that the Service went through and have now realised from implementing this approach.
A White Paper and Case Study detailing this approach is held on our website at the following url: www.workplacesystems.com/emergency_services_downloads.shtml
If you or any or your colleagues would like to attend, please complete and return the enclosed form.
